Dr. Collins will discuss Intellectual Property—what it is, how it can be protected, why you would want to protect it and finally, what you can do with it? Dr. Collins received dual Bachelor’s degrees from Bryn Mawr College in Chemistry (with honors) and History. She then went on the earn her PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill and a Post-doc at San Diego State with Doug Grotjahn. For 10 years she served as a Patent Agent at law firms in San Diego, CA before joining North Carolina A&T State University as a Patent Agent in 2010. Dr. Collins has been a member of the NC A&T staff for 6 years and is currently the Director of IP Development.
