Nanotechnology Day Celebration 2022

On Friday, October 7, 2022, JSNN will be hosting its 2nd annual Nanotechnology Day Celebration. This year will have a carnival-theme filled with interactive activities, sessions, and much more! All K-12 STUDENTS and Teachers are welcome to join. Elementary sessions (K-6th grade) will be from 9 am to 12 pm and Secondary sessions (7th -12th grade) from 1pm to 4pm.

What to expect

FACILITY TOUR

The tour will allow participants to explore the facility and learn more about some of the research and instrumentation at the facility. Tours will be led by JSNN ambassadors answering questions about labs and providing insight about innovative research. (ACTIVITY FOR ALL GROUPS)

Special Readings

Every 30 minutes, groups will get to participate in a special reading of the children's book, Nano: The Spectacular Science of the Very (Very) Small. (ACTIVITY FOR K-6 GRADERS)

STEM/Nano Demos

Demonstrations will allow hands-on interaction for students to explore and learn. In addition, these events provide a space for students to connect engineering and nanotechnology to daily activities with active learning and innovative thinking. (ACTIVITY FOR ALL GROUPS)

research presentations

Every 30 minutes, groups will get to listen to an interactive discussion about current research at JSNN from current students and/or faculty members.
