What is Aspire to NANo?

Aspire to Nano provides a space for local high school students and educators to learn about various opportunities in engineering and nanotechnology and how it connects to everyday life. When Aspire to Nano is face-to-face at JSNN, this is displayed through interaction with JSNN staff, faculty, and students highlighting hands-on demonstrations, art and poster sessions that connect the arts and science to be relatable at all levels, learning sessions that make current research relatable to concepts learned within the classroom and tours of our facility.   When Aspire to Nano cannot be conducted face-to-face due to pandemic regulations, JSNN provides learning module kits which include videos, resources and experiment supplies to local teachers for use with their students.  JSNN staff also provide training for teachers so that these learning modules can be implemented seamlessly in local high school classrooms.
