SUMMARY:2025 NSF REU and Semi-Bells Internship Programs Closing Ceremony and Poster Presentations
DESCRIPTION:For the third year in running under the auspice of NSF REU and Semi-BELLS internship programs\, we have an amazing cohort of 25 undergraduates and community college student interns from 19 different institutions working on cutting-edge summer research in the labs at JSNN and NC A&T main campus. From semiconductors\, quantum\, and biomaterials\, to microelectronics\, energy\, and biomedical applications\, the interns working at the micro and nanoscale on big real-world challenges. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition to hands-on summer research\, the interns also receive faculty and graduate student mentorship\, training on Semiconductor fundamentals including on fabrication\, weekly seminars by industry\, academia\, and other professionals. The NSF REU program runs until August 2nd 2025\, and the Semi-BELLS program is until July 24\, 2025. Financial support for the two programs was provided by NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)\, DOD Microelectronics Commons/Commercial Leap Ahead for Wide bandgap Semiconductors (CLAWS)\, Intel and Micron. \n\n\n\nJoin us on Friday\, July 18th from 10 am in the JSNN atrium for their research poster presentations.
