The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering congratulates Dr. Kerui Wu from the Department of Nanoscience on a remarkable series of recent research accomplishments. Over the past few months, Dr. Wu has successfully secured multiple competitive external grants to advance his cutting-edge research program.

In early June, Dr. Wu received a two-year Engineering Research Initiation (ERI) award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his project titled “Bioengineering Synthetic Antigen-Presenting Cells for Controlled Immune Modulation.” The following month, he earned additional support from the Houston Methodist Research Institute (The Methodist Hospital) for his project “In Situ DC Engineering via Localized Nanovesicle Delivery Platform.” Most recently, Dr. Wu was awarded funding through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI), administered by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).

Together, these accomplishments represent an exceptional period of success for Dr. Wu, securing three competitive grants for three distinct projects within a span of less than three months. His achievements underscore the growing impact and recognition of the innovative research being conducted within the Department of Nanoscience at JSNN.
