Congratulations to the following JSNN students and faculty for their well-deserved recognition:
2020 Council of Historically Black Graduate Schools (CBHGS) ProQuest Dissertation Award
Dr. Manish Sharma
Dissertation Title: “A Study of Molecular Beam Epitaxially Grown GaAsSb(N) Nanowires for Infrared Photodetector Applications”
The research has diverse applications including photonic integrated circuits and quantum information science. The work resulted in:
- 3 journal publications
- 6 international conferences with one conference proceeding
- one invention disclosure
The 2020 Council of Historically Black Graduate Schools (CBHGS) ProQuest Dissertation Award was given at its 50th Annual Conference on March 5 in Birmingham, Alabama. It was chosen from the broad disciplinary area in the life science area amongst the CBHGS participating institutions based on originality, style, presentation, scholarship and significant contribution to the field.
