Congratulations to Dr. Rathnayake
Congratulations to Dr. Hemali Rathnayake from the Department of Nanoscience for receiving a competitive four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to support a project entitled “A New Concept for a Programmable Capacitive Charge Injection in Live Cells using Molecular Magnetism”. The research is sponsored by DoD’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority-Serving Institutions (HBCU/MSI) Research and Education Program, which aims to support projects in scientific disciplines of critical importance to the Department’s mission and workforce development objectives, including advanced computing, biosciences, quantum sciences, renewable energy generation and storage, and trusted artificial intelligence and autonomy.
